Watch it work, one task at a time.

Each guide is one job, recorded from the panel, with a caption for every step. They are silent, so they play in an office, and the steps are written under each one for when you would rather read.

GUIDE 1 · 38 s

Create a machine

  1. What should it run: a clean system, or one with an application already installed.
  2. How big: processors, memory and disk.
  3. Where: a location and a network. The address is reserved, not guessed.
  4. How you get in: an SSH key, or a password you choose. It is never stored.
  5. A name. The panel on the right says exactly what will be built.

Run a machine

  1. The list shows every machine with what it is doing now.
  2. One machine's page: its state in a word, then shut down, restart, console and back up.
  3. Live figures measured on the host: processor, memory, disk and network.
  4. Backups: on a schedule from the first day, restored over the machine or as a copy.
  5. Resize: more memory or disk, or less, checked against what the disk really holds.

GUIDE 3 · 27 s

Read your hosts

  1. Every host says how it is: online, degraded, offline or in maintenance, and what that stops.
  2. Inside one host: memory and disk as they are used now, not as they were sold.
  3. Storage: what is promised, what is written, and how long is left.
  4. The Overview starts with what needs you, worst first.

Backups that watch themselves

  1. One page for every backup: which machines are covered, and which are not.
  2. A failed backup says what failed, and is tried again before it asks for you.
  3. On a machine's own page: take one now, or let the schedule do it.

GUIDE 5 · 30 s

What your customer sees

  1. As the host, you see the whole estate.
  2. Arranged for a customer: their own machines, and one sentence first.
  3. Their machine list: start, restart, console, back up, each a word beside its icon.
  4. Arranged for a reseller: what the host granted, what they sold, and their customers.

Find anything

  1. Press Ctrl K anywhere. The palette opens over whatever you were doing.
  2. Type part of a name or an address. Machines, hosts and pages answer together.
  3. Activity keeps the record: who did what, to which machine, and how it ended.

Seen enough? Run it.

One command on any systemd Linux. The first compute node is free.
